One of Sarnia’s smallest clusterings of freeholds. Four units in total each built on twenty foot wide lots. A court location with attractive houses and mature trees just two blocks south of Lakeshore Road.
These single car garage units have full brown-orange bricking, tan trim and brown shingles. The top level has a mansard type roof design.
Something unusual is an open area of greenery to the immediate north and unobstructed views of older mobile homes. This is the back lot area of an old and still functioning trailer park with the address of 1105 Lakeshore Road. If you go to the satellite mode you can see what we are talking about. Then if you drive past this street address you will see there are no signs acknowledging its presence.
Obviously in the 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s the city just grew around it. This would have been a cottage area a long time ago.
Let’s also mention parks. Three of several parks within easy walking distances have the names “Connaught Park”, “Vye Park” and “Newton Park”. The Lakeshore Road area is known for its beauty. Homes here tend to always cost a little bit more.
**In this neighbourhood 86% of the housing stock is single family homes, 11% moveable and 2% townhouses. 65% of the people own, 35% rent. 66% of the neighbourhood was built between 1961 and 1990. 25% of the population is 65+ and English is the dominant language spoken at 89%.
