"Green Haven Estates"
This project does not fall under the classification of being condos. Here we have an "adult lifestyle community" where residents can own or rent their house but lease the land on which the home sits. The "Parkbridge" project on Blackwell Side Road shares this same concept.
The "Green Haven Estates" project is owned by "Capriet", a name also known in town for apartment living. This is a central east Sarnia location near the "Sarnia Chris Hatfield Airport". It is just south of the #402 at "Airport Road". An open area of greenspace (a small ditch area with grasslands) separates this project from the highway. “Capriet” also owns the largest “lifestyle community” in Grand Bend called “The Woods of Grand Cove”. See our Grand Bend condo website. Grand Bend is about 76km away, or less than an hour drive.
It has two entranceways, the main one coming in off of "London Line" with a front parking lot area and a smaller entranceway off of Airport Road. Once again, residents can own or rent their homes however they lease the land on which the homes sit. Real Estate Agents typically do not get involved when these units change hands.
Live amongst your neighbours. People here wave as you drive past them. One section of the complex has older units in a treed setting. 20 MPH posted speed limits. Trees and area of greenspace. Street names like Apple Lane, Derby’s Lane, Green Haven Drive and Cedar Drive.
Some units have garages and many have carports. The western portion of the complex has a totally different feel with newer and more upscale units built on cement slabs. In a world where real estate prices have gone crazy more eyes might start to look at complexes like this.
